My Electrolux Ergorapido is sooo FANTASTIC.
OK,Mine does stand up on its own as well as in the charging unit. It arrived with all the pieces- if you can't find the attachments they are subtly positioned in the charging unit. The vacuum arrived charged and I used it that night without charging it first.
The handheld vacuum threw me a learning curve, LOL. I had trouble figuring out how to take the dust bowl from the unit. To save you the same embarrassment, when grasping both sides of the bowl (to press release buttons) pull UP.
The 2 handheld attachments are effective detail tools. I used them to clean my air cleaner filter, edged my kitchen, cat hair off my coat, and other random things. It worked splendidly every time.
After removing the dustbowl, and taking out the filter be sure to do it over the garbage can. You can rinse the filter under the tap and -- wait for it--- there is a doo-dad that allows you to pull the filter down to help remove larger clumps of hair/dust!! Wow!! I just LOVE that!
The vacuum as a whole is so light-- it was such a pleasure to vacuum my rugs with it. My rugs are black, so I could easily see what was being picked up. I was satisfied with the suction strength. It has two speeds and the head pivots, which really adds to the fun.
It is super classy and really fun to use. I used it vacuum some large area rugs and I was pleased with the amount of lint and cat hair it removed. I used it on my kitchen floor and it worked great.
The orange color has a shade of copper in it, but the copper is not obvious on the vacuum--its more of a suggestion. It is not construction orange, it is a classier color. It's not at all a coral, but in my opinion, it would not clash harshly with the coral color group. It has all shiny silver accents or dark grey. There are only those 3 colors on the entire unit.
I am delighted with my vacuum. I've had it a few days, but I have used it quite a bit, for about 10 minutes each time. I charged it overnight the first night, but not since then. I have no idea how long the charge will hold. I'm waiting for it the battery to completely empty before I charge it again, from zero so I can get a good idea of the battery life.
I recommend this-- it's pretty, it's easy to use, and makes vacuuming so easier.

Perfect Little Pick-Me-Up

Having building a 3700 sq ft home. I found that I was sweeping my tile floors into little piles and then waiting..waiting..waiting for the ambition to get out the full size vacuum to eliminate the piles. The Electrolux stick vacuum came to the rescue and now it just takes a moment to access this cute little vacuum and finish the job. A quick once over in my cooking areas and my house maintains a clean feel.
Crumbs, pet hair, and sand are no match for this little machine. I found that I now use it daily and the motor is quiet enough not to frighten my pets. I love the long handle of the stick vacuum, yet the hand-held part is easily accessible. I would highly recommend this to all my friends, as I am extremely pleased with the quality of this unit. |
I would give this six stars if I could!!!

I love this product. Works very well on wood floors ( You should have seen the pile of dirt it picked up after my swiffer). Great for small area rugs (again picked up tons of dirt where I thought I had cleaned already). It is light weight and easy to use. Filter does not clog and is easy to empty. They didn't miss anything on the design of this product!
I would agree that it is not the best for large carpeted areas, but I would not expect that from a small stick vacuum.
Overall, great suction, easy to use, and looks nice too. |
GREAT VACUUM BROOM! (manage your expectations)

This is a great little vacuum broom! Understand what you are purchasing - don't buy it if you are looking for an all purpose vacuum. It replaces your broom, not your vacuum. As a broom replacement, it is fabulous! I have two dogs that shed constantly and two chidren. This great for daily spot pick up, it handles the fur and crumbs quite well. It works great on tile and low pile carpet and jute rugs. Even does well on deep weave oefin area rugs. However, it does not roll well on a persian rug. The detachable dust buster is great for sucking crumbs off chair cushions.
I think this is a great product. And yes, it only has a 20-minute battery life in use, and yes, you have to empty the canister after each cleaning, but seriously, this is a vacuum broom. You'd have to use a dust pan with a traditional broom. This is a great tool, all of the negative reviews I have read seem to be people looking for a full size vacuum repacement. |

This vac has been the best thing to meet my hard floors and conquer pet hair!
I have purchased and returned two other stick vacuums (a Home Depot vac and a Shark) that did not perform nearly as well as the Electrolux ErgoRapido. Neither of the previous stick vacs had the suction or power to pick up the pet hair, even on hardwood floors. The Electrolux doesn't just push around dust bunnies - it sucks them up with authority. The sweeper head swivels very easily and lays down nicely to get in those hard-to-reach areas under furniture. I was pleasantly surprised with even the performance of low power setting. It is also relatively quiet, and I can carry a conversation over the phone while vacuuming.
My only minor complaint is that the dust collector is rather small. However, it is very well designed and cleans easily. The amount of dust (not just debris) collected was amazing! None of the other stick vacs removed this much dust. It easily picks up the cashmere-like fur from my ever shedding Pomeranian, which most vacs have difficulty. I will gladly sacrifice a little extra time in emptying the container for a cleaner sweep!
Bear in mind that this is just a stick vac. It does its job extremely well for what it was designed for - midweek touch-up cleaning in between regular mopping and vacuuming. If you need something for thick pile carpet, look into the more traditional powerful upright or canister vacuums.
I always had the impression that Electrolux cleaners were overpriced for average performers. I stand corrected, as I am willing to pay a little more for a product that works very well and seems quite durable. When the time comes, my upright (for high pile carpet) will be replaced with an Electrolux. |
